Funds for the arts are available from various sources, but demand is very high. Winchester City Council hosts regular information events and seminars for fund-raisers, has a policy for funding arts activity through capital (buildings and equipment), revenue (project and running costs), and community chest (up to £500) grants.

HCC Arts Service is committed to maintaining its support for local arts activities. The popularity of the schemes however means that towards the end of the financial year, they are not able to support as many organisations as they would like. So, changes have been made to the way in which organisations can apply, to ensure that no Hampshire organisation is disadvantaged because of the timing of their event or activity. It will also enable the Executive Member to make decisions based on priority cases which support Hampshire County Council policy and objectives. There are no changes to the criteria for eligibility, but significant changes to when and how you can apply.
